GapWire is a real-time momentum stock scanner for day traders. Every mover comes with its news catalyst, float, relative volume and the company's SEC dilution risk, beside live charts, alerts with voice and tick-by-tick replay.
GapWire shows you what is moving, why it is moving, and what could end it, at a glance. The scanners, live charts, news, dilution research and alerts all live on one screen, so you are not stitching together a broker, a news feed, a filings search and a separate scanner. Free during the beta.
Run up to eight scanner columns at once, each one a scanner of its own: top gappers, the biggest moves in the last few minutes, high relative volume, volume bursts, catalyst rate of change, stocks just under their high of day, or your watchlist. Each column has its own filters for float, price, relative volume and gap, its own alerts, and its own card size.
A stock that runs 40 percent on news is exactly the moment a company with an effective shelf registration or unused ATM capacity can issue shares into the strength. GapWire reads company filings and grades that risk on every stock in the scanner: effective S-3 shelves, remaining ATM capacity, and active equity lines of credit, with the reasoning shown on the card. You see whether the company can sell into your entry before you size in, not after the offering is announced.
Headlines for the stocks that are moving, each tagged with what the news is about and how much it could move the stock. Filter the feed by impact, and turn on news alerts.
Candles update live, down to 10-second bars, with indicators, drawing tools and a marker on the bar a headline landed. Rewind the last 15 minutes to see how a move started. Run up to 16 charts: four in the main window and four in each of three detachable chart windows.
Alerts for moves on news, new highs, stocks entering a scanner column, your own custom rules, and price levels set on any chart. Each one can show in the alerts feed, play a sound, or be read out loud, so your eyes stay on the chart.
Rewatch recorded moves tick by tick, at your own speed, and practice trading them.
Detachable panels for a second monitor, keyboard navigation, a layout for your phone, a chatroom for traders, and in-app support from the team.
GapWire is free during its beta, with no card required. After the beta it is 127 US dollars per month. It runs in your browser with nothing to install and no broker connection.
